About us
Our company has had the pleasure of identifying and solving some of the Western Cape’s most challenging waterproofing problems over the past 28 years. While maintaining industry standards and best practice, we are skilled in integrating out-of-the-box and unorthodox torch on waterproofing and engineering solutions.
Our extensive experience and expertise ensure that you receive a comprehensive and bespoke solution. This makes us exceptionally unique and niche waterproofers, which has become the peoples’ preference in the Western Cape.
Services
We specialise in various torch on waterproofing solutions. We ensure value for our clients through combining expert industry knowledge with the skillful application of high-quality materials.
We provide our services to the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors in Cape Town, with preferential rates to pensioners and single mothers.
Roofs, parapets & valleys
We offer torch on waterproofing solutions for concrete, metal, tiled and asbestos roofs. All torch on waterproofing work is done by using the heat fusion method. This involves sealing overlaps, edges and joints, binding and rebinding, and is completed with tar roll paste for extra strength. All our waterproofing work is done using 4mm tar rolls, which are imported from Milano, Italy. Reflective bituminous aluminium (silver paint) is then used which acts as protection from the sun’s harsh UV rays.
Gutters
We work with all types of gutters. We can realign leaking box gutters in order to avoid the expensive cost of replacement, as long as they are not rusted.
Chimneys & Skylights
We waterproof chimneys underneath and on top of tiles, on top of metal soakers, and in certain cases we will complete waterproof binding on top of the tiles so that it works as a soaker. Both of these methods are done with torch on tar rolls by using the heat fusion method.
We waterproof skylights of all shapes and sizes.
Balconies, decks & any form of landings
We offer waterproofing solutions for a wide variety of balconies, decks and landings. We also have in-depth knowledge of the unique weather conditions and harsh rays’ effect on the exterior of homes and buildings in Cape Town and the Western Cape.
Damp problems
We safeguard against rising damp, lateral penetrating damp, and structural damage, down to the foundation.
Signs of damp problems include clearly visible marks along with deposits, bubbling or flaking paint and peeling plaster.

Testimonials
I have used Hartuv Waterproofing extensively over the past 18 years on numerous building projects. In all the time I have used them, I’ve never needed to call them back. Hartuv Waterproofing are the right waterproofers for your property – their professional workmanship, and friendly and reliable team ensure they are equipped to tackle jobs of any size and complexity.
Wonderful service! The inspection was done on the day of my call, I received a free quote with impressive detail and every promise was kept: the team arrived exactly on time throughout the project, and the work was completed quickly and efficiently. Most importantly of all – no more waterfalls inside our house! I would strongly recommend Hartuv Waterproofing for peace of mind.
Hartuv Waterproofing has been a contractor at our business for the past 10 years. We have found their workmanship to be beyond reproach and have not had a single call back on work completed at our facility. I would highly recommend Uri and his team to any commercial or private organisation.
I experienced the Hartuv Waterproofing team first-hand today. Quick, efficient, respectful, and competent. Could ask for nothing more – can’t wait for the winter rains for the first time in years! Thank you, Uri, and team.
After years of expensive failed attempts with 4 different contractors, I called on Hartuv Waterproofing to solve numerous challenges at my home. Uri did a thorough inspection of my property and was able to isolate all the affected areas and provided me with rational and logical solutions. As an engineer, I respected that greatly. At every touchpoint of this phased project, Uri and the team knocked it out of the park. You are without a doubt “The Fixer”, which is why I entrusted you to help my aging mother with her property following the work you did on mine. I would choose no-one else in this town!
You are excellent! You came and looked at my roof many years ago when it rained into my daughter’s bedroom. You could have told me a story and charged a lot, but you were totally honest and said it was a very freak wind and there is no problem with my roof! Honesty and integrity pay off, which is why we brought you in to do a project some years later – making a horrible situation so much less traumatic! Couldn’t recommend more highly!
